Rotaractors Help Nepalese Earthquake Homeless

Rotaract Australia has combined with ShelterBox to do our part for those displaced by the Nepal Earthquake.

ShelterBox is a Rotary initiative which provides a survival kit to those who find themselves without shelter. Each ShelterBox contains a large tent, ground mats, blankets, cooking equipment, water containers and much more.

Rotaract Australia are hoping to raise $10,000 to provide 10 ShelterBoxes to those in need.

Club Charter

On Tuesday 31st March 2015, the Rotaract Club of Brisbane CBD was chartered! The event was held at Spring Food & Wine in the CBD and was attended by club members, friends, Rotarians and supportive Rotaractors from other clubs.

Club member and visitor from the USA, Steve Burroughs captivated guests with his humour and spontaneous selfies.

District 9600 Governor, George Grant was in attendance and presented the certificate of charter as well as a presidential collar to Melanie Packer, the club founder.

As a chartered Rotaract club, the Rotaract Club of Brisbane CBD is officially endorsed by Rotary International and can now undertake projects and events under the Rotaract banner while accessing the world of Rotary.
